Zeti is an award-winning technology company building ZetiOS, a proprietary operating system for hard assets across transportation, energy and construction. ZetiOS combines real-time asset data with the financial contracts that govern how those assets are funded and operated - enabling utilization-based finance, asset-level three-statement modeling and live ESG reporting that static, data-blind platforms simply cannot match. Our mission is to accelerate smarter asset-backed finance, and through it, the energy transition.

We serve four types of organization:

  • Institutional lenders and funders - such as Paragon Bank - deploying capital across hire purchase, finance lease, PPAs and pay-per-use structures.
  • Asset operators across EV fleets, hydrogen infrastructure and renewable generation who need flexible financing and real-time operational insight.
  • Suppliers and manufacturers seeking asset intelligence and embedded finance capabilities.
  • Public program administrators - such as CALSTART and the Lighter than Aire consortium - who need to monitor assets in order to perform automated regulatory reporting and to visualize geospatial data.

Alongside ZetiOS, a specialist professional services team connects capital with operators and navigates the complexity of each client's market. Founded in 2020 after incubation at Octopus Investments, Zeti has graduated from the Accenture FinTech Innovation Lab, won the Visa Everywhere Initiative (Europe), and raised capital from Powerhouse, Toyota Ventures and HYCAP. ZetiOS manages approximately £30m of deployed assets, has helped operators avoid over 15,000 tonnes of CO₂, and has a pipeline exceeding £400m across the UK, US and Central Europe. We're now entering a critical next phase of growth, and are looking for a Senior Engineer to lead the delivery of our priority projects.

Role overview

Reporting into the CTO, you as a Senior Engineer will lead the delivery and maintenance of key elements of ZetiOS. You will drive our quality standards and deliver best-in-class functionality across our full tech stack, including C# on Azure Functions, Azure Cosmos DB, and React with TypeScript and Material UI. You’ll be expected to thrive under pressure and be comfortable taking responsibility for the execution of major customer requirements. You’ll also be a lighthouse of AI adoption within our team and constantly exploit new tools and technologies for maximum productivity.

Day-to-day activities

  • Write, test, and maintain clean, efficient, and reliable code in C# for Azure Functions and in React with TypeScript and Material UI for the frontend.
  • Utilize Azure Cosmos DB to design and manage efficient data models.
  • Work closely with product managers and other developers to understand requirements and deliver features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Improve upon existing DevOps pipelines and build new ones (using GitHub Actions).
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in coding, testing, and code reviews to uphold high standards of quality.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Codex) to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and streamline routine development tasks.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements to our tech stack and development processes.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven track record as a Senior Engineer with a minimum of five years of professional software development experience, leaning towards back-end.
  • Strong background in C# and Azure Functions, coupled with proven experience in building modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and HTML/CSS.
  • Proficiency in C# and ideally good experience with Azure Functions (or some experience in AF with deeper experience of AWS Lambda).
  • Expertise in front-end development using React, TypeScript, and HTML & CSS. Material UI experience is useful.
  • Strong experience with Azure Cosmos DB or similar NoSQL databases.
  • Demonstrable understanding of how to build and maintain DevOps pipelines.
  • Experience working in the asset finance and/or management space, or in an adjacent sector.
  • Proven experience with AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar (e.g. Codex, Cursor). We expect engineers to leverage AI tooling effectively as part of their daily workflow.
  • Solid understanding of modern software development practices, methodologies, and system architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Details:

  • Salary: £80,000-100,000 per annum + EMI share options.
  • Location: We’re based in FORA Albert House in Shoreditch. We work together in a private office there three days per week, with two days of remote work.
  • 25 days of annual leave (excluding UK bank holidays).
  • Half-yearly company summits, featuring social activities.
  • Free access to lounges, co-working spaces, bike storage and gyms at over 60+ FORA sites in UK & Europe, including at our Albert House office.
  • Free drinks and snacks at the office.
