HGV Mechanic Location: Wirral Salary: £46,000 plus overtime Contract: Full Time, Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Days ZETEC Recruitment are working with a well-established business looking to recruit an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their busy workshop team. This is a hands-on role, primarily workshop based, maintaining and repairing a large fleet of HGVs, trailers, specialist vehicles and associated equipment. There may also be occasional travel to other depot locations, as well as breakdown and repair call-outs when required. You will report directly to the Workshop Manager and play an important role in keeping the fleet operational, compliant, safe and roadworthy. Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers Prepare vehicles for MOT and support DVSA compliance Complete inspections and safety checks Travel to other depot locations when needed Maintain accurate workshop records and defect reports Work closely with the Workshop Manager Minimum of 3 years experience as an HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Mechanic or Workshop Technician Full UK driving licence Welding and fabrication experience HGV Category C licence Gas certification This is a great opportunity for an experienced HGV Mechanic looking for a permanent role within a busy, practical workshop environment.
