Our client is currently on the hunt for a motivated Senior Consulting Engineer, where you'll be tasked with working alongside other engineers (Chartered/mid-level/graduates). You will engage in diverse and challenging structural projects, including bespoke new builds, refurbishments, highway and drainage design, and heritage works and have experience with complex and challenging structural designs from start to completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing high-quality concept and detailed technical designs for highway and drainage projects.
- Performing a range of drainage calculations, such as QBar, attenuation storage, foul loads, and network analysis.
- Designing adoptable and non-adoptable highways, car parks, and footpaths for various surface types.
- Preparing and submitting LLFA information requests related to drainage designs, flood risk assessments, and drainage strategies.
- Handling the prep and management of applications to Drainage and Highway Authorities (S104, S106, S185, S184, S278, S38).
- Ensuring projects meet specified budgets and timeframes while managing sustainability criteria and complying with designers duties under CDM Regulations.
- 8+ years post qualification experience in Civil and Structural engineering.
- Chartered / near-chartered status with a relevant body eg: MICE or MIStructE.
- 2:1 BSc/BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent - Minimum.
- Full UK driving license and own transport.
- Client-focused approach & excellent interpersonal skills.
