We’re working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary acoustics consultancy to recruit an Acoustics Consultant at Senior or early Principal level to support their expansion in the North. This role is deliberately flexible on level — the key is a solid technical background and the ambition to step into something with more ownership over time.
Why this role stands out
This isn’t about stepping into a rigid structure — it’s an opportunity to help shape a new regional presence, with the backing of a successful, established consultancy. The long-term plan is to build a team around the right person, with flexibility on location (Manchester or Leeds).
The Role
- Deliver a range of acoustics, noise, and vibration projects
- Carry out site work across the Midlands, North West, and occasionally Scotland
- Build relationships with clients and act as a trusted advisor
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish
- Contribute to the growth of a Northern team with support
- Support and mentor others as the team develops
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in acoustics, noise, or vibration consultancy
- A hands-on consultant who enjoys site-based work
- Comfortable working with clients and managing projects
- Either an established Senior ready for more responsibility, or someone already operating at or close to Principal level
- Interest in growing into leadership over time
- Strong communication skills and a practical approach
The Opportunity
- Help build and shape a regional team
- Progress naturally into a leadership role over time
- Work with a consultancy that offers autonomy without risk, with full backing and support
Benefits
- Competitive salary and monthly bonus
- 8% employer pension
- Professional memberships paid
- Company expenses covered with no out-of-pocket costs
- Wellbeing support and additional benefits
- Travel to London and team meetings fully expensed
Working Pattern
- Remote initially
- Future hybrid working from a Manchester or Leeds office depending on location
- Occasional travel to London
If you’re a strong acoustics consultant who wants more ownership, progression, and the chance to build something, this is well worth a conversation.
