We are recruiting for an experienced Acoustic Consultant (3+ years’ experience) to join a growing environmental consultancy with offices in London, Manchester and Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant with a background in environmental acoustics or building acoustics to work on a wide range of projects across residential, commercial, infrastructure and healthcare sectors.
Acoustic Consultant Job Overview
As an Acoustic Consultant, you will deliver noise and vibration assessments, support planning applications, and provide expert advice across multiple projects from concept through to completion. You’ll be joining a collaborative consultancy environment offering career progression, hybrid working, and exposure to technically diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out environmental noise and vibration assessments
- Support planning and development projects with technical acoustic input
- Prepare high-quality acoustic reports and documentation
- Manage your own projects and deadlines effectively
- Liaise with clients, architects, planners and stakeholders
- Conduct site visits and acoustic surveys across the UK
Acoustic Consultant Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in acoustic consultancy
- Experience in environmental acoustics and/or building acoustics
- Strong knowledge of UK acoustic standards, legislation and planning policy
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Full right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
