Are you an experienced Building Physics Consultant or accredited NDEA looking to join a growing consultancy where your technical expertise is genuinely valued? We are partnering with an independent and highly regarded building performance consultancy delivering specialist services across the commercial built environment sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a technically strong consultant with experience in commercial EPCs, Part L compliance, thermal modelling, and building performance analysis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both the technical delivery and client-facing aspects of consultancy, whilst working within a collaborative and supportive remote environment.

The Role

You will take ownership of a range of commercial building compliance and energy modelling projects, working directly with clients, design teams, and project stakeholders across the UK. The role will involve:

  • Delivering Non-Domestic EPCs across a range of commercial projects
  • Producing Part L compliance assessments (As-Designed & As-Built)
  • Carrying out SBEM calculations
  • Producing Psi-Value calculations and thermal bridging assessments
  • Undertaking energy modelling and building performance analysis
  • Supporting overheating assessments including TM52 & TM59
  • Producing clear, client-focused technical reports and recommendations
  • Supporting wider sustainability and BREEAM-related projects
  • Liaising directly with clients, consultants, and contractors

Essential Requirements

Applications are only likely to be considered where candidates have experience within building physics, energy assessment, or building compliance consultancy. You should ideally have:

  • NDEA Accreditation
  • Experience delivering commercial EPCs
  • Strong knowledge of Part L compliance and SBEM
  • Experience carrying out Psi-Value calculations
  • Experience using DesignBuilder, IES VE, or similar modelling software
  • Experience undertaking TM52 / TM59 overheating assessments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage client relationships professionally
  • Strong technical and analytical capability
