Zest4Talent is excited to be partnering with a leading building services consultancy that’s expanding its MEP division — and they’re looking for a Building Physics Team Lead to shape the future of their building performance capability. This is a career-defining opportunity to build and lead your own team, work on innovative projects from concept through to completion, and be the go-to technical expert trusted by clients across a wide range of sectors.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the delivery of high-quality building physics solutions — from SAP, SBEM and Part L modelling to daylight and thermal comfort assessments.
  • Advise clients on performance optimisation, balancing sustainability, practicality, and cost.
  • Build and grow a dedicated team — coaching, mentoring, and shaping the future direction of the service.
  • Represent the business as a trusted advisor, influencing projects from early strategy to final delivery.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in building physics assessments (SAP, dynamic thermal modelling, EPC generation, TM52/TM59/TM54, daylight analysis, etc.).
  • A deep understanding of low-carbon design and how to achieve performance targets in the real world.
  • Strong leadership qualities — ready to recruit, mentor and grow a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the confidence to present complex ideas clearly.
  • Bonus points if you’re Chartered (or on the way), have cross-sector experience, or enjoy business development and winning work.

Why This Role?

Because it’s not just another consultancy job. It’s a genuine leadership opportunity — a blank page where you can build something new, influence strategy, and see your ideas brought to life on landmark projects. If you’re ready to take that next step and lead with impact, we’d love to talk.

For this role you must be a UK resident, visas cannot be supported.
