Engineering Stores Coordinator (Interim) Bishops Stortford Pay rate: Negotiable DOE Contract: Interim - 4 months guaranteed, with strong potential to extend to 6 Hours: Monday to Friday, days, 39 hours per week (early finish on Fridays) Start date: ASAP / early October
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business in Bishops Stortford for a Temporary Engineering Stores Coordinator to lead a stock organisation project within their engineering department.
This is an organisational role rather than a hands-on maintenance position, you won't be working on machinery. Instead, you'll take ownership of the engineering parts stock across three stores locations, setting up a clear, well-organised system from the ground up.
What you'll be doing:
Sorting and cataloguing engineering parts across three stores locations Identifying and accurately documenting stock Organising parts into the right locations and setting up a clear system for the future Building and labelling racking to properly house stock Owning an improvement project from start to finish
What we're looking for:
A background in stock checking, stores, or inventory A methodical, organised approach Self-motivated and disciplined, happy working independently
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure and process to a busy engineering environment, and wants a project they can properly get their teeth into.
