We're working with a well‑established UK food manufacturer to recruit a Quality Manager into a key leadership role. This is an opportunity to take ownership of the quality and food safety agenda at site level, ensuring the highest standards of compliance, audit readiness and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment supplying major UK retailers.
The Role
- Lead the site Quality function, ensuring compliance with food safety, quality and legal standards.
- Own and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), driving continuous improvement.
- Act as the technical lead for audits, including BRC and customer audits.
- Manage, coach, and develop the Quality team, embedding strong GMP and quality culture.
- Work closely with Operations and Senior Management to support site performance and business objectives.
- Ensure effective handling of non‑conformances, complaints, investigations, and corrective actions.
About You
- Proven experience as a Quality Manager (or strong Senior QA Manager ready to step up) within food manufacturing.
- Solid working knowledge of BRC standards, HACCP, and food safety systems.
- Confident leading audits and managing external stakeholders and customers.
- Hands‑on, site‑based leadership style with strong attention to detail.
- Practical, solutions‑focused mindset suited to a high‑volume production environment.
