Location: Newport
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday - 1 in 3 Saturdays (with a weekday off in return)
Hours: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm (alternating weekly)

You’ll be working on an incredible variety of systems—from three large steam boilers to one of the UK’s biggest refrigeration plants, alongside AHUs, HVAC systems, cooling towers, safety steam valves, and general facilities maintenance tasks. Every day is different, and no two breakdowns are ever the same.
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintaining and fault-finding on steam boilers, refrigeration systems, AHUs, HVAC and cooling towers
- Carrying out a wide range of facilities tasks: plumbing, lighting, small repairs, pipework changes, taps, doors—whatever keeps the site running
- Supporting a 24/7 operation (bank holidays included!) where reliability is everything
- Working closely within a strong engineering team including mechanical, electrical and fabrication specialists
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance
- HVAC knowledge
- Apprenticeship or formal engineering qualification
Desirable:
- Mechanical engineering qualification
- BOAS
- Experience with steam systems or refrigeration
