Location: Newport, (Commutable from Bristol, Avonmouth, Cwmbran, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Aberdare and surrounding areas)

Package: £58,000 - £60,000, Enhanced Overtime, Bonus, An attractive training and development opportunities!

Shift: 12 hour shifts (Covering Days & Nights)

Zest have teamed up with a highly established manufacturing company. Due to a growth in the business, they are now looking to take on an experienced engineering team leader to manage the day-to-day operations on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the engineering manager to manage the day to day running of the engineering processes.
  • Attending both planned and reactive maintenance of food processing machinery.
  • Provide support and guidance to engineers and the operations team.
  • Offer support and guidance on breakdowns and offering backing when needed.
  • Ensure work is equally distributed between the team ensuring schedules are followed.
  • Complete shift handovers, update breakdown boards, and create reports for effective transitions.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completion of plant maintenance.

What we are looking for:

  • City & Guilds/Level 3 NVQ minimum in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience managing others in a fast-paced production environment, including performance management.
  • Background in working with food or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
