Job Description

Position: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Cornwall (Commutable from Bodmin, Truro, Newquay, St Austell, Looe, Lostwithiel and surrounding areas)
Shift: Monday – Friday
Salary: £45,000 – £47,000
The Opportunity
Due to growth within the business an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a rapidly growing, well-established manufacturing site. You'll be part of a friendly, experienced engineering team supporting production across high-volume processing operations.
The Role
Working on a double day shift, you'll be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement across a range of modern manufacturing equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Carry out planned and reactive electrical & mechanical maintenance on production machinery
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults on automated and semi-automated equipment
* Work with PLCs, sensors, motors, and control panels
* Support continuous improvement and efficiency projects
* Ensure all work complies with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
* Accurately complete maintenance records and documentation
About You
* Background in manufacturing (food ideal, but not essential)
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Comfortable working days and nights
* Easy-going, team-oriented and personable
