Well-established food supplier is looking for a motivated and organised Materials Administrator to join their busy operations and quality team!

The Role

This is a varied and fast-paced position sitting at the heart of the supply chain operation. You will be responsible for managing inventory processes end-to-end - from monitoring stock levels and coordinating material orders to maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance.

You'll work closely with internal stakeholders across production and operations to keep materials aligned with demand, while also taking ownership of training coordination for a large workforce.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Monitoring and managing material stock levels to meet customer demand while minimising waste, including weekly stock counts
  • Raising purchase orders, chasing deliveries, managing supplier invoices and using customer portals
  • Accurately inputting stock data into SAP and maintaining up-to-date records
  • Coordinating inter-depot material transfers and ensuring material spaces are well-organised
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to align material requirements with production schedules
  • Delivering inductions, training and refresher training, and maintaining training records for all staff
  • Supporting wider compliance documentation and general administrative duties

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in stock control, inventory management or a similar operations role
  • Confidence working at pace in a busy environment
  • Proficiency in Excel; SAP experience is a strong advantage
  • Strong numerical ability and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills - you'll be liaising with colleagues, contractors and customers by phone, email and in person
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • GCSE passes (or equivalent) in Maths and English, or demonstrable equivalent ability
