We are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing food manufacturing business, who are looking to welcome a Technical Graduate into their expanding technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a food science graduate to take their first step into a technical career within the food manufacturing industry, gaining hands-on exposure to quality, compliance, and product development within a supportive and knowledgeable team. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will sit as part of the wider technical function, supporting the technical team across a variety of responsibilities as the business continues to grow. This role offers genuine progression potential and the chance to build a well-rounded foundation across technical, quality, and compliance disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all technical systems, ensuring customer requirements are consistently delivered.
- Implement quality systems and ensure they are continually updated and maintained in line with BRC requirements.
- Play an active role as part of the site HACCP team.
- Support new product launches, working closely with colleagues across the site.
- Conduct and support internal audits.
- Support external audits, including BRC and customer audits, providing documentation as required.
- Handle and respond to customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
- A Food Science, or related, degree is essential.
- An understanding of retailer requirements is essential for this role.
- A good understanding of BRC and HACCP requirements.
- A strong ability to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team.
- An adaptable approach, with the willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
