OverviewJob Title: Engineering Team LeaderLocation: Newport, (Commutable from Bristol, Avonmouth, Cwmbran, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Aberdare and surrounding areas)Package: £58,000 – £60,000 + Enhanced Overtime + Bonus + An attractive training and development opportunities!Shift: 12 hour shifts (Covering Days & Nights)

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the engineering manager to manage the day to day running of the engineering processes.

Attending both planned and reactive maintenance of food processing machinery

Provide support and guidance to engineers and the operations team

Offer support and guidance on breakdowns and offering backing when needed.

Ensure work is equally distributed between the team ensuring schedules are followed

Complete shift handovers, update breakdown boards, and create reports for effective transitions

Ensure the accuracy and completion of plant maintenance

What we are looking for

City & Guilds/Level 3 NVQ minimum in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Experience managing others in a fast-paced production environment, including performance management

Background in working with food or manufacturing environment.

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Ability to work independently and within a team
