The role involves taking full responsibility for the management of multiple pharmacies, ensuring high standards of service and operations. The Superintendent Pharmacist will lead and manage a large, diverse team, fostering a strong sense of team spirit, engagement, and a shared passion for delivering excellent patient care while cultivating a culture of excellence. They will oversee operations with a focus on leveraging available resources to improve efficiency, enhance quality, and ensure timely delivery of services.
Key responsibilities include ensuring full regulatory compliance and risk management, maintaining and refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), preparing for inspections, and managing internal audits effectively. The Superintendent Pharmacist will manage and optimise all pharmacy processes, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to best practices. They will supervise and administer the Wholesale Distribution Authorisation (WDA) in collaboration with the outsourced Responsible Person, implement quality assurance and control measures, set and drive high standards, and consistently meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
It is crucial to ensure that all team members, including customer-facing staff, receive the necessary training to maintain compliance and uphold high levels of competence. Staying informed on the latest regulations, market trends, competitor activity, and updates on ingredients and products is essential to ensure a competitive edge.
