We’re supporting a fast‑growing food manufacturing business in London with the appointment of a Technical Manager to own food safety, quality and compliance as the business scales.
The Role
A senior, hands‑on role with end‑to‑end ownership of the technical function. You’ll act as the technical authority across production and the supply chain, ensuring robust systems that support growth without compromising standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the Food Safety Management System (BRC, HACCP, traceability)
- Lead internal and external audits and certification activity
- Set and uphold quality standards; manage investigations and corrective actions
- Support NPD scale‑up, validations and shelf‑life
- Manage supplier approval, specifications, artwork and packaging compliance
- Embed a strong food safety and quality culture and lead technical capability
About You
- 8+ years in a technical / food safety role within food manufacturing
- Strong BRC and HACCP knowledge
- Experience in chilled or frozen environments
- Pragmatic, confident communicator able to influence and challenge constructively
Desirable
- HACCP Level 4
- Experience in fast‑growing businesses
- Co‑manufacturing exposure
