Zest Optical are working alongside a well-established independent Opticians in Cardiff to recruit an Optical Practice Manager to join their friendly team. This long-standing, family-run practice has been serving the local community for over 40 years and is focused on delivering high standards of eye care, service, and a well-run environment.
You'll play a key role in leading a small team and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, with time split between the Cardiff branch and a nearby location.
Optical Practice Manager - Role- Lead and support a small team of 2-3 people
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
- Oversee all optical administration and compliance processes
- Maintain high standards of customer service and patient care
- Still very hands on dispensing and customer service
- Work across two practices, with majority in Cardiff and 1 day in a nearby branch
- Ensure the practice remains organised, efficient, and well presented
- Previous optical experience is essential
- Either an experienced Optical Practice Manager or a Dispensing Optician with supervisory or management experience
- Confident leading a small team and taking responsibility for daily operations
- Well-organised with a good understanding of optical admin and compliance
- Strong communication skills and a hands-on approach
- Basic salary £30,000-£40,000 (DOE)
- Professional fees covered for DO's
- 3, 4 or 5 days per week available
- 1 in 4 Saturdays required (additional may be needed to cover holidays or sickness)
- Supportive independent environment
