Zest Optical are recruiting for a Full or Part Time Optical Assistant to join a long standing independent Opticians in Hertford. This is a patient centred environment where you can build real relationships and take pride in delivering great care. The practice Well established independent with a loyal patient base Calm, supportive team who value experience and attention to detail Modern setting and a strong focus on clinical care rather than sales targets Optical Assistant role Welcome patients and guide them through every step of their visit Assist in choosing frames and lenses using your product knowledge and style advice Perform measurements and basic dispensing to a high standard Manage orders for lenses and frames, keeping accurate records Support contact lens teaches and aftercare Maintain a clean, organised optical area and support general admin Work closely with the wider team to ensure an exceptional patient experience Requirements At least 2 years experience in an optical assistant role Confident dispensing with strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a friendly approach Good understanding of current eyewear trends and styles Able to work in a busy environment while staying organised Positive team player with a good work ethic Key details Job title: Optical Assistant Location: Hertford, Hertfordshire Hours: 2 to 3 days per week to start Working pattern: 9am to 5pm weekdays and 9am to 1.30pm Saturdays Salary: £25,000 to £26,000 dependent on experience (Pro rata) If you are an experienced Optical Assistant looking to join a supportive independent Opticians in Hertford, we would love to speak with you.
