The Role:
We are working exclusively with an established UK business that is looking for a Sales Relationship Specialist to help grow demand for its safety footwear products and expand sales through an existing distributor network, as well as end users. This is a newly created role, as this company continues to grow, offering great new products at outstanding comparable value, meaning there are always opportunities to strengthen and build strategic relationships.
This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role for someone who enjoys being out in the market — meeting customers, building trust, and helping both end users and distributors succeed. You will play a key role in increasing market presence and positioning the company’s products as a preferred choice within their category.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with end users to increase product awareness and demand
- Support and develop distributor partners to grow sales and improve product knowledge
- Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, and joint distributor calls
- Identify new opportunities, applications, and customer segments
- Provide structured feedback on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Work closely with internal teams on product positioning, pricing, and support materials
- Represent the business professionally as a trusted brand ambassador
What We Are Looking for:
- Sales experience with tangible/physical products is essential (industry experience is not). More important is the type of person you are.
- A competitive mindset: You are driven to succeed, enjoy outperforming targets, and take pride in raising standards — for yourself and the business.
- A mature, customer-focused approach: You build rapport naturally. Customers trust you, enjoy working with you, and value your follow-through. You listen well and deliver consistently.
- Comfortable balancing field and office work: Approximately 3 days per week visiting customers, end users, and distributors across the UK. 2 days per week office-based (Northamptonshire)
- Willingness to learn and try new things: You may be entering a new sector with new products. Curiosity, resilience, and a willingness to test ideas — even when they don’t always work — are essential.
What you can expect:
- Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, paid monthly
- Bonus: £8,000 on-target earnings per year (linked to KPI's) - paid quarterly (first two quarters guaranteed at £2,000 per quarter)
- 25 days holiday
- Christmas closure
- 2pm finish on a Friday!
If you are someone who prefers building relationships face-to-face rather than hiding behind email then this role could be for you. You will be someone who enjoys autonomy, delivering with discipline and consistency. You will be motivated by the challenge and not discouraged by setbacks. This exciting, newly created role will give you the chance to grow with a business and help shape its future.
