This role is central to delivering ambitious plans by providing the Key Account team with the leadership, mentoring, and support they need—while also directly contributing to sales performance.

This is a hybrid role that blends people leadership with active sales management. You’ll be responsible for leading and developing a talented team of Key Account Managers, while also managing your own portfolio of customers. Your focus will be on driving growth, mentoring your team, and delivering results that contribute directly to the broader business objectives.
You’ll take ownership of growing existing customer sales, identifying new opportunities, and winning new business. Balancing strategic planning with day-to-day execution, you’ll be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales and margin targets. Your work will also involve identifying category gaps, setting clear objectives, and securing additional sales from existing customers to maximise value and performance.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of the sales strategy.
To be successful in this role, you’ll be an excellent communicator who can adapt your approach to different situations and personalities. You’ll bring presence and credibility to customer meetings, adding value without undermining existing relationships. You’ll have real-world experience managing key accounts, with a proven ability to build and sustain long-term customer relationships. You’ll also be comfortable influencing at senior and board level, with the confidence to represent the team in commercial discussions.
We’re looking for someone with a track record in people management, account development, and business generation—particularly within the foodservice sector. You’ll ideally have a strong understanding of catering products, and relevant experience working with customers in the care, education, leisure, or hospitality sectors. Holding a driving licence is essential, as this role will require frequent travel across the business regions.
