We're looking for a detail-oriented Materials Planner to join a growing food manufacturing business, supporting both New Product Development and site-wide packaging purchasing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Materials planning across the site
  • Managing the purchasing of materials for the New Product Development team, ensuring the right supplier is found, at the right price, first time
  • Reporting on waste and leading waste meetings
  • Responsible for supplier scorecards — ensuring deliveries are made on time and in full, while monitoring supplier performance
  • Purchasing packaging for the site
  • Administration and maintenance of supplier contracts
  • Providing cover for the wider Planning Team as and when required

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years' experience in materials planning
  • Experience of working in the food industry would be beneficial
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience working with MRP systems (M3 would be preferred)
  • Confident in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders
