An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and proactive Quality Systems Manager to join a major food manufacturing business who are continuously thriving in their market. As the Quality Systems Manager, you will take ownership of the Quality Management System, working closely with internal teams to ensure compliance with food industry regulations, customer expectations, and third-party standards. You will play a hands-on role in identifying technical challenges, implementing solutions, and driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the site. Key Responsibilities • Lead the development and management of the Quality & Food Safety Management Systems, ensuring all compliance, safety, and quality requirements are achieved. • Implement effective systems for hygiene, allergen management, pest control, and foreign body controls. • Conduct thorough internal audits to maintain the highest factory standards. • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, providing clear communication on all technical matters. • Deputising when required for the Technical Manager • Ensure readiness for customer and third-party audits, leading these processes and addressing non conformances effectively. • Oversee the site’s HACCP system, evaluating risks and establishing controls for new products, processes, and raw materials. • Champion a culture of Quality Assurance, offering practical support and guidance to all departments. • Maintain technical schedules, prepare detailed reports, and track discrepancies. You must have experience in food/drinks industry, retailer standards and codes of practices, BRC requirements, leading audits and maintaining compliance with customer and third-party standards.
