Hours: Monday to Friday, double days 06:00–14:00 & 14:00–22:00, no nights or weekends.

I’m currently recruiting for a hands-on, multi-skilled engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing site in Cambridgeshire. This role is ideal for someone with both mechanical and electrical experience who enjoys working across a variety of plant and packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planned maintenance and fault finding (mechanical & electrical)
  • Installing, commissioning, and improving plant and equipment
  • Maintaining plant rooms and water treatment systems (where trained)
  • Minimising downtime and contributing to continuous improvement projects
  • Ensuring work is safe and compliant with legal, environmental, and company standards
  • Supporting line changeovers and set-ups
  • PPM, mechanical & electrical fault finding
  • Line changeovers & belt repairs
  • Food/packaging/FMCG experience
  • Welding (TIG) and basic fabrication
  • Hydraulic, boiler, refrigeration, and packaging equipment knowledge
