I’m currently recruiting for a hands-on, multi-skilled engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing site in Cambridgeshire. This role is ideal for someone with both mechanical and electrical experience who enjoys working across a variety of plant and packaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Planned maintenance and fault finding (mechanical & electrical)
- Installing, commissioning, and improving plant and equipment
- Maintaining plant rooms and water treatment systems (where trained)
- Minimising downtime and contributing to continuous improvement projects
- Ensuring work is safe and compliant with legal, environmental, and company standards
- Supporting line changeovers and set-ups
- PPM, mechanical & electrical fault finding
- Line changeovers & belt repairs
- Food/packaging/FMCG experience
- Welding (TIG) and basic fabrication
- Hydraulic, boiler, refrigeration, and packaging equipment knowledge
- Training and development opportunities
