We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Process Development Technologist to join a well-established and fast-paced food manufacturing business. This is a fantastic role for someone passionate about product development and innovation, looking to play a key part in bringing products from concept stage through to full-scale production.
Working closely with the NPD, Planning and Technical teams, the successful candidate will support the seamless transition of products from the development kitchen into manufacturing, ensuring launches are delivered efficiently, on time and in line with customer expectations. The role will involve coordinating and running factory trials, identifying opportunities for process improvements and ensuring all materials, resources and documentation are in place to support successful production outcomes.
This position offers a varied and hands-on environment where no two days are the same. Responsibilities will include:
- Producing detailed trial reports
- Monitoring labour and production costs
- Leading pre- and post-trial discussions with cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication and smooth progression of projects
The successful candidate will also play an important role in driving efficiency and maintaining high standards throughout the development process. Our client is looking for an organised and proactive individual with a Food Science degree or equivalent qualification, alongside previous experience within a food manufacturing environment. Strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines are essential for success in this role.
