An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Manager to join a well-established Fresh Produce business in Essex, as part of an exciting project to build and strengthen their Quality team. This role will play a key part in maintaining and developing high quality and food safety standards across the business, while supporting the development of a newly structured quality function.
The Role
- Reporting into the senior technical leadership team, the Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring robust quality systems are in place while driving standards across the site.
- Leading and developing the site Quality team.
- Ensuring compliance with customer requirements and food safety standards.
- Maintaining and improving quality management systems.
- Supporting audits and ensuring standards are maintained across the site.
- Driving continuous improvement within quality processes.
- Working closely with production, technical, and operational teams to maintain product standards.
About You
The successful candidate will have strong experience within food manufacturing or Fresh Produce, with a passion for quality and continuous improvement. You will likely have:
- Experience in a Quality Manager or Senior Quality role within food manufacturing or Fresh Produce.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and retailer requirements.
- Experience managing or mentoring quality teams.
- A proactive approach and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across departments.
