Our client is a well-established food manufacturing business supplying major retailers across the UK.

They're looking for a Night Shift Engineering Team Leader to lead the engineering team through the night shift, keep production running reliably, and take charge of the engineering function in the Shift Manager's absence.

The Role

  • Lead and support the engineering team through the night shift, working hands-on alongside them on maintenance and repairs.
  • Coordinate and prioritise maintenance activities and breakdown responses.
  • Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics and root cause analysis to reduce recurring issues.
  • Drive planned preventative maintenance and continuous improvement to maximise uptime.
  • Keep accurate CMMS records and uphold health, safety and compliance standards.
  • Act as the key engineering point of contact for production and factory management on shift.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisory or Engineering Leadership role.
  • A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent apprenticeship) in Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
  • Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, or a similarly fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
