Roles Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site Junior Engineer, Fire and Security Engineer and Lead Fire & Security Engineer role(s) based in Northern Ireland. The Fire and Security Engineer will install, commission, and maintain fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and related life safety systems in residential, commercial, and council settings. Day‑to‑day tasks include completing site surveys, diagnosing and repairing faults, performing scheduled maintenance, testing system performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The role involves preparing accurate documentation and reports, updating system records, and communicating clearly with clients about system status, required repairs, and upgrade/project options. The engineer will also participate in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota as required, follow health and safety procedures on‑site, and collaborate with the wider engineering team to deliver high‑quality projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience installing, commissioning, and maintaining fire detection and alarm systems, security systems, and associated life safety equipment.
- Solid understanding of relevant standards, codes of practice, and regulatory requirements for fire and security systems.
- Strong fault‑finding, diagnostic, and problem‑solving skills on both new and existing systems (including systems installed by other providers).
- Competence in using basic electrical tools, test equipment, and system programming tools for fire and security panels.

- Ability to work safely on‑site, follow company health and safety procedures, and maintain accurate documentation and reports.
