Are you a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Walsall. This is a part-time position with flexible working options, with the opportunity to increase your days for the right candidate. You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, helping students with a range of additional needs to learn, grow, and thrive in a safe, structured, and engaging setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students with a variety of SEN needs in the classroom and during activities
- Assist teachers with planning, adapting, and delivering tailored learning support
- Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and independence
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support as required
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or vulnerable people (SEN experience preferred but not essential)
- A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Reliability and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN
- Education or childcare-related qualifications are desirable but not required—we value the right attitude and commitment.
