Zest Education is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a vibrant primary school in Coventry with an immediate start. This is a full-time position, running from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on a temp-to-perm contract with competitive pay based on experience. The successful candidate will provide essential classroom support, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment for pupils. There is potential for this role to become permanent following a successful initial period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils as directed by the class teacher

  • Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources

  • Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe, inclusive environment

  • Support children with varying educational needs, including SEN where required

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and contribute to school life

  • Previous experience working in a UK school setting (as a TA or similar role)

  • A genuine passion for supporting children\’s learning and development

  • Patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills

  • A proactive and professional attitude

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
