This long-term role involves teaching a Year 3 class three days per week.

Key Responsibilities – Year 3 Primary Teacher Job

  • Planning and teaching engaging and creative lessons aligned with the Year 3 National Curriculum.
  • Preparing teaching resources, marking student work, and maintaining an organised classroom environment.
  • Utilising weekly PPA time to support lesson planning and assessment.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and senior leaders.
  • Communicating effectively with parents to track and support pupil progress.
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s expectations and policies.

Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant Key Stage 2 experience (Year 3 preferred).
  • Have a strong understanding of the Year 3 curriculum and best practices in primary teaching.
  • Be passionate about delivering high-quality education that supports pupil progress and well-being.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate.
