Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming community primary school in Harborne. This full-time position begins asap, working in an on-site resource base from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Motivate and encourage students to achieve beyond their comfort zones.
  • Support children who require additional help with classroom tasks.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson planning, preparation, and administrative tasks.
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Maintain an inclusive, organised, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Participate in relevant meetings, training sessions, and school activities.

To be successful as a Learning Support Assistant, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience supporting children within a classroom environment.
  • A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and Key Stages.
  • A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening abilities.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
