Hours: 15 hours per week (4pm – 7pm Mon – Fri)

Zest Education are looking for an experienced School Cleaner to join our team. This role is ideal for someone looking for a role to fit around family commitments or a good work/life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the school’s environment is clean, hygienic, and safe for students, staff and visitors.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all areas of the school, including classrooms, offices, common areas, toilets, and washrooms.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly, adhering to COSHH regulations.
  • Report any hazards, faults, or damages to the facilities manager immediately.
  • Lock up and secure the school premises after each shift, ensuring all doors and windows are properly secured and alarms are set.

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete one).
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to undertake any other cleaning duties as directed by the on-site team.
