Learning Support Assistant – Harborne, Birmingham

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming community primary school in Harborne.
This full‑time position begins ASAP, working in an on‑site resource base from 8:30 a. m. to 3:30 p. m., Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
- Motivate and encourage students to achieve beyond their comfort zones.
- Support children who require additional help with classroom tasks.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson planning, preparation, and administrative tasks.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support tailored to individual learning needs.
- Maintain an inclusive, organised, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Participate in relevant meetings, training sessions, and school activities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting children within a classroom environment.
- A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and Key Stages.
- A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening abilities.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- An enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school‑based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care‑based experience within the last 5 years.
The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
