Primary Teaching Assistant (KS2) – Part-Time

Are you passionate about helping children thrive, grow in confidence, and achieve their full potential?

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school community in Sutton Coldfield.

Working within Key Stage 2, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment where every child can succeed.

The Role

  • Support pupils in the classroom, both individually and in small groups.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inspiring lessons.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote a love of learning.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and resilience.
  • Support children with varying learning needs and abilities.
  • Prepare learning resources and assist with classroom organisation.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all pupils.

  • Have experience working with primary‑aged children (desirable).
  • Be enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting children’s learning.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications in Childcare, Education, Teaching Assistance, or a related field are desirable.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are advantageous.
