We Are Looking for an EYFS Teaching Assistant! Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early years of education? We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Stetchford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced teaching staff and help create a positive, engaging learning environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS activities and lessons.
- Assist children with their learning, development, and social skills.
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Support children on a one‑to‑one basis and in small groups where required.
- Assist with classroom preparation, organisation, and displays.
- Encourage positive behaviour and support children's wellbeing.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in an educational, nursery, or childcare setting is desirable.
- A positive, patient, and caring attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- EYFS qualifications are desired but not essential.
- Applications from candidates with relevant experience are encouraged.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school‑based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care‑based experience within the last 5 years. The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
