Are you passionate about supporting young learners in their educational journey? Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Dudley area on a flexible hour basis. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds of the future generation. The role will start in April / May 2026.

The role involves working three days a week, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm each day, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. The primary school follows a two-form entry system and offers a well-rounded curriculum in a joyful learning environment. Led by an enthusiastic team, the school focuses on nurturing curiosity and fostering the development of pupils' passions and interests.

We are looking for a candidate who possesses a basic understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. The ideal candidate should be adept at providing support to children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them reach their full potential. Having a patient and nurturing nature will be required for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of educational activities for young children, focusing on early childhood education principles.
  • Provide support to children with special needs, including those with autism, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
  • Tutor and mentor students, fostering their academic and social growth.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and parents to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
  • Maintain a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
