Zest Optical is working in partnership with a leading global ophthalmic lens manufacturer to recruit an ambitious and commercially driven Account Manager to cover West London.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected international optics business with a strong reputation for innovation, technology and premium ophthalmic lens solutions.
Working closely with independent optical practices across the territory, you'll be responsible for developing existing customer relationships while proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Taking a consultative, partnership-led approach, you'll work with practice owners and key decision-makers to understand their businesses, identify commercial opportunities and deliver solutions that support long-term growth for both the customer and the organisation.
Account Manager - Role & Responsibilities
Manage and develop a portfolio of independent optical accounts across West London.
Identify, prospect and secure new business opportunities throughout the territory.
Build strong, long-term relationships with practice owners and key decision-makers.
Drive revenue growth across both new and existing customer accounts.
Take a consultative approach to understanding individual customer requirements and commercial objectives.
Analyse account and territory performance to identify opportunities for further growth.
Use customer and market data to develop commercially focused solutions.
Provide customers with insight and support to help develop their businesses.
Act as the key point of contact for customers across the territory.
Develop a strong understanding of the local market, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
Account Manager - Requirements
Previous B2B optical sales experience is essential, with a proven track record of achieving targets and delivering commercial growth.
Experience managing and developing existing customer accounts alongside proactively winning new business.
Optical industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
A qualified Dispensing Optician looking to move into a commercial sales role may also be considered where they can demonstrate relevant B2B sales experience.
Strong commercial awareness with a confident and proactive approach to territory management.
Ability to build credibility and develop long-term relationships with business owners and key decision-makers.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated and comfortable managing a field-based territory with a high degree of autonomy.
Full driving licence.
