Hours: Full Time | Alternate Half-Day Saturdays | No Sundays

Zest Optical are working alongside an exceptional high-end independent Opticians in New Romney, Kent, to recruit a full-time Optometrist.
This is a rare opportunity to take over an established and loyal patient base within a thriving community practice. The current resident Optometrist has been with the practice since it opened six years ago and is only leaving due to relocation, creating a fantastic opportunity for someone to build on the strong relationships and reputation already in place.
The practice is typically booked two to three weeks in advance and offers 45-minute appointments, giving you the time to deliver thorough, personalised eye care without feeling rushed.
You will have access to a full suite of the latest refraction and diagnostic technology, alongside support from a knowledgeable and dedicated team who will enable you to focus on the clinical side of the role.
This is much more than a position where you simply test and go home. The practice is at the heart of its local community and is looking for an Optometrist who wants to become a valued part of both the team and the area.
For someone with the right ambition, there is also genuine potential to work towards a future partnership or shareholding opportunity within the business.
The Role
- Full-time Optometrist position
- 45-minute appointments

- Strong clinical and dispensing team support
- Alternate half-day Saturdays
- A full weekday off during the week of your Saturday shift, most likely Monday
- No Sundays or Bank Holidays
- Practice closed between Christmas and New Year

- GOC registered Optometrist
- Personable, professional and clinically confident
- Passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-focused eye care
- Keen to build long-term relationships within the local community
