Zest Optical are working with a boutique independent opticians in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, to recruit a Dispensing Optician.
This is an opportunity to join a small, service-focused practice where you can spend time with patients, work with distinctive eyewear and have a say in the frame collections. With one clinic a day and hour-long eye examinations, the emphasis is on personal advice, quality products and getting things right for each patient.
Join an established independent practice offering a personalised approach to eyecare and eyewear
Work with a carefully selected range of niche and designer frames
Dispense premium lenses, including Varilux and Zeiss
Provide tailored frame styling and lens advice to suit each patient's prescription, lifestyle and preferences
Take an active role in frame buying, meeting suppliers and suggesting new brands
Opportunity to attend optical trade shows with the team
Varied responsibilities including dispensing, fittings, adjustments, ordering, reception and supplier liaison
Scope to contribute to Instagram and Facebook content if this is an area of interest
Work within a practice offering advanced eyecare, including OCT and Optomap imaging
Full time preferred, with part time considered, potentially alternating three and four days per week
Alternate Saturdays required
Opening hours of 9am-5.30pm during the week and 9am-4.30pm on Saturdays
Closed Sundays
Free on-street parking approximately five minutes' walk away
Qualified Dispensing Optician registered with the GOC
Interested in quality eyewear, styling and personalised patient care
Friendly, honest and motivated, with a willingness to get involved across a small practice
Confident building relationships and explaining frame and lens options clearly
An interest in creative frame selection or social media would be welcome
Independent experience would be useful, although candidates from a multiple background are equally welcome
