Zest Optical is working in partnership with a leading ophthalmic lens manufacturer to recruit an ambitious and commercially driven

Area Lens Consultant to manage the

North of England region.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business within the ophthalmic lens market, managing and developing relationships with independent optical practices and laboratory customers across the territory.

Working closely with existing accounts while identifying opportunities for further growth, you'll take a consultative approach to helping customers develop their lens business through a combination of commercial support, product education and training.

You'll be responsible for driving sales across the territory, increasing product penetration within existing accounts and ensuring customers have the knowledge and support required to successfully recommend and dispense the company's ophthalmic lens portfolio.

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of independent optical and laboratory accounts across the territory.
  • Achieve agreed sales and revenue targets across the region.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and product penetration within existing customer accounts.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with practice owners, optical professionals and key decision-makers.
  • Deliver product training and education to customers across ophthalmic lenses, technical knowledge and effective sales techniques.
  • Support practices in developing their product mix and identifying opportunities for commercial growth.
  • Provide a high level of customer service through regular account visits, follow-up and ongoing support.
  • Work with customers to implement agreed local marketing initiatives, promotions and sales incentives.
  • Plan and manage the territory effectively to maximise customer coverage and sales opportunities.
  • Set clear objectives for customer visits and maintain accurate records of activity, outcomes and agreed next steps.
  • Provide regular market and customer feedback to the wider sales management team.
  • Organise and deliver customer training programmes across the territory.

  • Dispensing Optician qualification / Practice Management experience essential.
  • B2B territory sales experience would be highly advantageous.
