Zest for Talent is partnering with a well-established, award-winning building services consultancy to recruit a senior Sustainability-focused Mechanical Design Engineer. This is a key technical role within a business known for its long-term staff retention, strong culture, and leadership in net zero and decarbonisation. The role
You’ll take technical ownership of mechanical design and sustainability delivery, including:
- Leading mechanical building services design
- Delivering thermal modelling & energy analysis using IES VE
- Developing low / net zero carbon strategies
- Coordinating designs via IES VE, AutoCAD & Revit
- Mentoring junior engineers
- Supporting client relationships and technical decision-making
What our client is looking for
Essential:
- 5+ years UK consultancy experience
- Expert-level IES VE experience
- Low Carbon Consultant (LCC) NDEA or LCEA Level 5
- Strong background in sustainability & decarbonisation
Desirable:
- Degree qualified (BEng/MEng), ideally Chartered MCIBSE / MIMechE (IHEEM advantageous)
- Healthcare or technically complex project experience
- Additional certifications (One Click LCA, NABERS, CP1, OCDEA/DEA)
