Senior Acoustician / Future Director - Greater Manchester

Greater Manchester

£50,000-£60,000 + Director / Shareholder Opportunity

Zest4Talent is recruiting an experienced Senior Acoustician to join an established independent acoustic consultancy in Greater Manchester. This is a genuinely different opportunity for someone who wants more than their next Senior or Principal Consultant position. Our client is looking for an experienced Acoustician who can take responsibility for projects and clients while playing an increasingly important role in the development of the business. For the right person, there is a genuine opportunity to progress to Director, become a part owner of the company and participate in future dividends.

The role will include:

  • Managing acoustic consultancy projects from initial brief through to completion
  • Working across Building and Environmental Acoustics
  • Developing practical and commercially appropriate acoustic solutions
  • Managing and developing existing client relationships
  • Building relationships with architects, developers, contractors and other professionals
  • Identifying opportunities and helping to win new work
  • Supporting and managing other members of the team
  • Contributing to the development of new services and opportunities
  • Taking increasing responsibility for clients, projects and the wider business
  • Playing a key role in the future growth and direction of the consultancy

About you:

  • Strong professional experience within acoustic consultancy
  • Good technical background across Building and Environmental Acoustics
  • Confident taking ownership of projects and working directly with clients
  • Commercially aware with an interest in developing relationships and winning work
  • Practical and solutions-focused approach
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working within a smaller consultancy environment
  • Ambitious and interested in progressing beyond a purely technical consultancy position
  • Leadership potential and the desire to take increasing responsibility
  • Able to work regularly from the Greater Manchester office

Our client is ideally looking for an experienced Senior/Principal-level Acoustician with the capability and ambition to develop into a leadership position. They would also consider someone less experienced who demonstrates the right technical ability, personality and longer-term potential.

What's on offer?

  • £50,000-£60,000 depending on experience
  • Genuine progression towards Director
  • Opportunity to become a shareholder and part owner
  • Future dividend potential for the right person
  • Established, close-knit consultancy
  • Varied Building and Environmental Acoustics projects
  • Opportunity to develop existing and new client relationships
  • Genuine influence over the future growth and direction of the business

For someone who ultimately wants to help run and own a consultancy rather than simply progress through another corporate structure, this is a particularly interesting opportunity.
