Zest4Talent are partnering with a leading sustainability consultancy to recruit a Senior / Principal Energy & Building Physics Consultant to join their growing Energy and Carbon team. This is an opportunity to work on high-profile residential and commercial projects across the UK, delivering energy strategies, building performance modelling, and supporting net zero carbon outcomes.
The Role
You’ll lead the delivery of technical analysis and consultancy across multiple projects, while supporting junior team members and working closely with clients and design teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver energy modelling using IES-VE, including operational energy assessments
- Produce energy and sustainability strategies for planning and design stages
- Carry out overheating assessments (TM52, TM59, Part O)
- Manage projects from concept through to completion
- Liaise with clients, architects, and MEP engineers
- Support and mentor junior consultants
- Contribute to net zero carbon and sustainable design strategies
Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience in building physics / sustainability consultancy
- Strong experience with IES-VE
- Understanding of HVAC / MEP systems (Apache HVAC beneficial)
- Experience delivering energy strategies and compliance reports
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Knowledge of UK regulations including Part L, Part O, BREEAM, London Plan
