The Role
This is a relationship-led sales role with NO cold calling involved. You will work with an existing and lapsed customer base, helping clients identify the right technical solutions for their needs. You’ll receive full training on a niche range of innovative technical products and become a trusted point of contact for customers seeking advice, solutions and product expertise.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Making outgoing sales calls to existing and lapsed clients
- Building long-term customer relationships
- Understanding customer needs and recommending suitable solutions
- Emailing clients with product updates and technical information
- Handling inbound sales enquiries and customer queries
- Developing strong technical product knowledge
- Supporting customers with both pre-sales and post-sales enquiries
- Assisting with sales forecasting and pipeline reporting
- Visiting client sites alongside the Sales Manager/Director once fully trained
The Ideal Candidate
- Ideally educated to A-Level standard in Maths, Physics, Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Some experience in sales, account management, retail or a customer-facing role
- Passionate about technology, gadgets and innovation
- Naturally curious with a desire to learn technical products
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Positive, enthusiastic and proactive attitude
- Comfortable speaking with clients and understanding their needs
- An “ideas person” whose energy and suggestions will be valued
- You may have originally considered a technical or engineering career path but discovered your strengths lie in working with people and building customer relationships.
