Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with a background in Building Services, looking to step into a role where you can take ownership, lead projects, and genuinely progress your career? We’re working with a specialist multi-disciplinary consultancy offering the opportunity to become a key technical voice within the business, with a clear pathway towards Principal Engineer level.

The role involves taking a lead role in the electrical design of building services projects, from initial concept and feasibility through to delivery and completion. This is a hands-on position where you’ll be trusted to manage your own projects and contribute to design decisions from day one.

Projects are varied, engaging, and often high-profile, spanning sectors such as:

  • Education
  • Local authority / council
  • Residential
  • Industrial
  • Recreation & leisure
  • Commercial fit-out and new build developments

Key responsibilities:

  • Full electrical building services system design
  • Project leadership at design stage through to completion
  • Coordinating with other disciplines within a consultancy environment
  • Producing detailed technical drawings and calculations
  • Ensuring compliance with current UK standards and regulations

Skills & experience required:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Building Services Engineering
  • Proven electrical design experience within a consultancy environment
  • Strong working knowledge of UK standards and regulations
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux and Amtech
  • Confident communicator with the ability to take ownership of projects
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
