Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Acoustician to join their Building Compliance consultancy, supporting a busy and varied portfolio of planning and compliance projects. Known for their human, practical approach to building compliance, our client understands that no two projects are the same. They take the time to understand individual challenges, offering not just testing and reports, but early-stage advice that helps projects succeed first time.
This is a predominantly home-based role, offering genuine flexibility, autonomy and trust, with occasional site visits as required.
The Role
- End-to-end acoustic assessments, from site surveys through to final reports
- High-quality BS4142 and BS8233 planning reports
- Noise at Work assessments across a variety of environments
- Setup, management and interpretation of long-term noise & vibration monitoring
- Practical, experience-led advice at early design and build stages
- Independent management of workload, deadlines and technical outputs
About You
- 2+ years’ experience working as an Acoustician
- Proven experience with BS4142 and BS8233
- Strong background in Noise at Work assessments
- Experience handling long-term monitoring data
- Comfortable working entirely autonomously
- IOA membership (or actively working towards it)
- Clear, professional technical reporting skills
- Full UK driving licence
