NPD Kitchen Assistant
Humdinger, Sherburn LS25 6PJ
This position would suit an individual who is keen to take their first step into the world of New Product Development within Food Manufacturing.
Position type: 3 months temporary, full-time
Hours: 37.5
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30
Pay range: £13.12 per hour
Breaks: 30 minutes
Closing date: Monday 6th July 2026
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and pack product samples
- Maintain NPD kitchen stock and organisation
- Set up testing (gas, organoleptic, incubator) with accurate records
- Support customer visits, factory trials, and product launches
- Complete admin tasks such as filing, taking minutes, taking telephone messages, label making, courier bookings, and system updates (QAD)
- Maintain accurate sample and documentation records
Qualifications
Essential:
- Experience working in a food environment such as Restaurants, Cafe's, Fast Food Chains.
- Passion for food.
- Ability to work alone.
- Quick learner
- Adaptable and productive.
- Organised
Desirable:
- Food Science/Food Technology Degree or equivalent
