Machine/Process Operative - Days

Are you looking for a long-term career in food manufacturing where you can learn new skills and develop your technical knowledge? This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing food production team where you'll receive tailored 1-to-1 training, gain experience operating production equipment, and build a clear progression pathway within the business.
Shift: 3 on, 4 off covering Monday-Saturday (Blocks of Monday-Wednesday for 4 weeks followed by Thursday-Saturday for 4 weeks) 12-hour shifts, 06:00 - 18:00
Breaks: 3 x paid 20 minutes
Pay Rate: Depending on skills and experience

Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor automated processing machinery.
- Deliver production plans safely, accurately and efficiently.
- Complete production records using touchscreens and iPads.
- Support product quality through a right-first-time approach.
- Identify and report safety, quality or performance issues.
- Carry out manual handling activities, including lifting up to 25kg.
- Work independently while supporting wider production targets.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping.
- Work flexibly across processing areas to support operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Essential:
- Experience within a food manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in production, packing, or picker/packer roles within food manufacturing.
- Comfortable with manual handling and lifting up to 25kg.
- Able to use touchscreen technology, iPads, or basic IT systems.
- Organised and able to work independently.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Good oral communication skills are required.
- Desirable:
- Experience operating manufacturing machinery.
- An understanding of food safety - prior training such as Food Safety Level 2 will be beneficial, however, you will also receive this training via Humdinger.
