Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00 (Rotating Weekly)
Pay range: Grade 1: £13.75 (Starting rate), Grade 2: £14.87, Grade 3: £16.06
Breaks: 2 x paid 20 minute breaks per shift
Closing date: 18/09/2026
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain Vertical Form Fill & Seal (VFFS) bagging machines and multi-head weighing/dispensing machines to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Ensure products meet quality standards every time.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and work with Engineering for repairs when needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise performance.
- Follow strict hygiene and safety practices (GHP/GMP).
- Accurately record downtime, losses, and operational issues.
Qualifications:
- Direct experience operating VFFS bagging machines and multi-head weighing/dispensing machinery in an FMCG factory setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Good knowledge of check weighers & X-Ray machines.
